Are you considering Lasik eye surgery? One thing to consider is whether or not you are a good candidate for laser treatment to correct your vision. At your initial consultation, your surgeon will perform a thorough evaluation to determine whether or not you meet certain criteria.
Anyone who has recently been ill or is suffering from poor health should not even consider having Lasik surgery. Although it involves “only” the eyes, Lasik surgery is still surgery. You need a strong and healthy immune system to undergo Lasik. If you have had a lot of health problems recently, you should consider waiting to be evaluated for the procedure until you have recovered your health.
If you are pregnant, you should also wait to have surgery done until after your baby is born. Parents should realize that children must be at least 18 to be eligible candidates for Lasik surgery. Anyone considering Lasik should consider whether or not the surgery will interfere with their profession or career. If you are in the armed forces or your job entails underwater work, Lasik surgery may interfere with your career.
If your surgeon determines you are not a good candidate for laser eye surgery, you have the option of seeking a second opinion. If following a second evaluation, a different doctor draws the same conclusion, you should probably consider other options.
Growing old gracefully sounds good when you’re young, but things change when you start to notice wrinkles, grey hairs or worse yet, thinning hair. More and more men and women are living healthy lifestyles to help them look and feel their best as they age.
Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do yourself to keep a more youthful appearance. Plastic surgery is an option many people turn to, and facial rejuvenation is wonderful for removing wrinkles or lifting sagging eyelids.
Many people mistakenly believe that unlike their faces, there is little that can be done about hair loss. The fact is, you don’t have to settle for a receding hairline or accept thinning hair. A professional hair transplant is a permanent solution that will allow you to regrow your own hair naturally.
A hair transplant might sound like magic, but it’s actually a very simple and practical solution to the problem of hair loss. It involves transplanting hair that continues to grow to regions that are balding or thinning. It’s a safe procedure that works, and best of all it’s a permanent solution. It will seem as if you’ve re-grown you hair, because in essence, you have. The results look completely natural because the hair you re-grow is your own.
If you believe in the dictum: ‘accessories make or break an outfit’, and are talking about jewelry, there is always the risk of putting on too heavy or extremely minimal jewelry that may not create the impact you want. Pearl jewelry, however, are the perfect accessories that have a subtle charm of their own and lend an opulent touch to any outfit you are wearing. Stones and precious metal may be attractive options in the realm of jewelry, but pearls have always held their own lure. If you are wearing a simple outfit, a beautiful pair of pearl earrings adds an elegant touch to the same. Pearls are truly versatile, and you can wear pearl jewelry absolutely anywhere and yet not look overdressed, depending on your choice of pearl jewelry, whether it is a simple bracelet, a necklace, or a modest pendant. You can look simple and elegant with pearls, and yet you have the choice of creating an opulent look with the most decadent pearl jewelry pieces set with some rare and beautiful pearls. With pearl jewelry, you can achieve the look you want to, and because of their inherent appeal, you will end up creating a style statement that is truly unique.
Are you considering Breast Augmentation in Beverly Hills, rhinoplasty, a tummy tuck or any other procedure? You have many excellent choices for Plastic Surgeons in Beverly Hills. It’s important to research and evaluate the skills of every plastic surgeon you consider.
You will only want to consider Plastic Surgeons in California that are certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. This ensures they have received a minimum of two years of plastic surgery training in addition to general surgery training. Beyond being accredited, you can evaluate plastic surgeons by asking for references.
If you’re lucky, friends or family members that have had surgery and are satisfied with the results will refer you to plastic surgeons. References from individuals that have had the same surgery you’re considering can be particularly valuable.
Even if a close friend or family member refers you to a surgeon, you should still ask for additional references and follow through with checking them out. You will also want to find out how many times he or she has successfully performed the exact procedure you’re interested in. Experience matters a lot when it comes to plastic surgery.
Something I have been reading a bit about lately is Lasik eye surgery. I will be honest with you, a couple of weeks ago, I did not even know such a procedure existed. But, I have to say, the more I read about it, the more of a fan I am becoming.
It is kind of amazing to me that something like Lasik surgery is even possible. At least one person at each generational level of my family have either near or far sighted-ness (is that even a word..), and I cannot even think of how many people I am friends with who wear glasses or contact lenses.
The universal theme with contact lenses is that they are a pain. They are not something that anyone enjoys having to do. Sure, tonnes of people are grateful for not having to wear glasses and they prefer contacts relative to glasses. But, given the choice of having to poke something in their eye everyday, and not, I cannot think of anyone that would choose the not option.
The question I had about this proceedure was the cost.
I thought that might be a reason why I am not hearing millions of stories about Lasik from family and friends. But, on deeper inspection I have come to the idea that it is just that it is a new thing, and the word has not spread as far, yet, as I thought.
Hence this post.
Get the word out there I say. Check the link to the actual Lasik site (or one of them.. anyway..) above, and get out of eye poking forever. This is what I love about blogging. The little guy changing the world! (Little gal.. actually)
